Setting out on my Voyage

During my voyage I wanted to explore the last traditional fishing dock, Al Shamlan Port, in Kuwait City.

Getting a feel for the environment

It was important for me to take my time on the first day of visiting the docks. I wanted to get a real feel for the environment and how the people there work.

Remembering people's names

One of the trickiest things while shooting at the docks was remembering everyones name who I captured. I came up with a plan to store their name - watch the video and find out what I did.

One Week isn’t enough

What a week it was; I visited the dock three mornings and spent a total of 13 hours with the fishermen in Al-Shamlan Port. I got to know them, become their friends and most of all they trusted me to capture them as they worked. Watch the final round up video here.
