Get into the holiday spirit early with University of East London’s (UEL’s) Community Open Day on Saturday 23 November!
We’re bringing you a day packed with creativity – open for all from our fantastic local community to our UEL students and staff. Whether you’re looking for unique holiday gifts, a cosy hot chocolate, or a chance to spark some creative flair, this day has it all. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
Festive makers market
Explore our vibrant makers market! Wander through stalls hosted by our talented student entrepreneurs from CASE, offering handmade goodies you won’t find anywhere else. From artisanal accessories to original artwork, delicious baked treats to handcrafted fashion, there’s a treasure waiting for everyone.
Kids' fashion workshop and parade
Art in the Docks are running four different workshops in The Lounge between 10am-12pm - come and try your hand at making overshoe decorations, designing headdresses, making tote bag accessories, and creating your own T-Shirt!
At 12:30pm, watch participants strut their stuff in a mini fashion parade at Docklands Square. It’s the perfect way for young creators to show off their masterpieces.
We will be repeating our workshops from 1pm-3pm, so if you can’t make the morning come on down for the afternoon and make something to take home.
Free hot chocolate for all
Warm up with a complimentary hot chocolate when you arrive – our treat! Head to Docklands and Stratford Squares for a cosy start to your day (while stocks last).
